Sam glanced around the room, her eyes completely glazed over. "Have a nice rest, dears. I'll be waiting in the moring."

Violet shivered outside for a minute, then went back inside regardless of the people. She couldn't stand this weather, people awake or asleep. Violet went to her customarie cusion and layed down.

Sam smiled, "Wonderful!" she chirped. "Now, let us get some rest," she pranced to the stairs that led to the second story, "And I will see, or rather not, you all in the morning." She stopped at the to pof the stairs to look back down. "Although, I must request of you, do not come upstairs, or anywhere near the top of them, ever. Good night."

Vi was alrady alseep at the last sentence.
Vi and Jackie were both up before dawn, Jackie was up and out just as Vi got up, yawning. Five minutes later she, also, was outside. Vi headed over to an alleyway, down to the end of it, muttered a password, and an almost invisible trap door opened directly infrront of her. Any person happening upon it would think that it was a celar. There were more orphans in it, this was their daylie hidout. All of them had places to go during the cold winter nights, since it was to cold in there. Violet got in and went over to her corner. She meditated the meeting of the owner of 'her' place and why they'd been up so late.
Little know to Vi, Jackie was brooding in another corner of the small room. She'd followed the small girl and gotten in behind her.

Jan awoke the next morning and left the building. She didn't go far though. Behind the building was a empty park. There she stood quietly and began her morning weapon practice.

Sam sat in the middle of her room. Statues stood blankly around her, staring, jundging. She smiled.

After their tiny breakfast, whatever could be found was served, Vi got back out into the sunshine. It was a beutiful day. Vi sighed. On a day such as this, she might have climbed the small sapling just outside her old house. Daddy would've been there, watching her. Calling all her bruises accidents, and punishing neighborhood boys for her welts and tears. Poor daddy. He probably was so worried..But maybe now he'll see that I wasn't making up those storys and being rude the defiant voice in Vi's head spoke up. Maybe now he'll finally get that maybe once in a while I'm actually telling the truth. I'm glad I left. There wasn't anything back there for me. It's not like anyone will care. Daddy won't fret, mum will be glad, so quit feeling sorry for yourself!
Vi realized that she'd been sheding tears in front of someone. Vi gave this girl a quick look-over before darting away. She must've walked somewhere while thinking, she decided.
Jackie got out after the girl and climbed a roof to gaze off into the distance. There she let bitterness run through her. I should've been there! I could've saved them! I could've! It was stupid of my to go off on my own. and mum and dad? Where are you now? Now, when I need you ... so much. Would you have cared? Do you still care? Or did they send me away so I wouldn't be hurt? That must've been it. You probably hate me, so much. You wouldn't care. You and the rest of the world. Nobody cares...so why do I care?
Jackie got up and sang a song, letting her soft beutiful voice carry on the wind.
Did you see me at birth? Was I an object of mirth? How about now?
Did you really care? Or did you just stare? While I cried?
Here I am alone in a hard cold world Here I am again
Nothing ever seems the same, do you think this's just a game?
I'm alone so alone let me be count to three I'll be gone. Long gone.
Here I am. In world that doesn't care, Here I am....
...again.
Jackie didn't notice the tiny crowd that'd gathered, all she cared about was giving her heart to the wind. She let all she was, is, and will be, be carried off to sea. She let her watery eyes run dry before hardening them again and climbing down.
Vi heard the singing and stood a ways back, admiring the girl. When the girl left, Vi was cheering among the others.

Sam smiled from within her chambers. To make them feel was all that she wanted. To make them face the pain, and feel it, to cry, to see, to die. Nothing much to be expected. Just like she had, when he left her. Tears sprung from her blind eyes. She had never cried for him, and wasn't about to start now. Crying her eyes, she stalked blindly from her room and downstairs to the kitchen. Life was good, even without him.

Slowly Jan worked through several more and more complicated practice-dances. Her glaive became like a blurr in her hands as she moved. She ignored the stares she was getting from the early risers wandering by. She closed her eyes to better concentrate on her movements.
She finished the last move and stood quietly, centering herself.

Jan sighed. Something was telling her to go back to the building she had slept in. With a shake of her head the girl walked slowly back.
