With ease a large lupin figure trotted across the landscape. The smokey grey coat allowed the wolf to blend into the background. Although she diturbed several animals, Okami wasn't looking for prey.
She had come far from her pack's territory, high in the mountains. She had become restless since the middle of the cold season. A strange urge arose within her, telling her to go off into the world and explore.

If the wolf rounded the next hill, she would stumble across a man fighting a group of about 7 men.
He flipped one into another, and punched a third.

Okami heard the sounds of a fight nearby. The wolf paused for a moment to decided what to do. It wasn't that she was afraid, but rather she was not sure if she would be welcome.
She trotted to the top of the hill and looked down on the fight in time to see the one man flip on of the others. A four man was coming up behind him, unnoticed. This one raised something that glinted in the light.
Knowing that what ever the glinting was could do more damage to the first man, Okami lept, snarling loudly.

The man standing alone agaist the others heard the noise, and so did the attacker with the knife. They both looked towards the wolf as it crashed into the man with the knife. Who went down with a shout of terror.
The man and one of his attackers made eye contact in a "What the hell?" Look with one another. But the lone man was the first to recover, and gave the man a blow to the face, knocking him out.
He jumped back into the fight. Throwing punches and kicks.

Okami didn't go for the throat of the man she jumped. Instead she clamped down on the hand holding the glinting thing, breaking the bones and drawing blood. The wolf then jumped clear.
Looking around, Okami watched for the next man to try a mean trick like the man she attacked did.

A howl, much like a wolf's, but with something more in its voice, rang out. Another wolf, just as large, but black, watched, not entering the fray, bright silver eyes watching.

Okami looked up at the sound of the wolf's howl. Seeing the black wolf, she tilted her head. The wind was wrong for her to get any scent other than the blood spilled.

Okami lunged to the side as another man with a knife tried to stab her. The grey wolf snarled as she whirled to face her attacker.
<Thank you, kin-wolf.>

The man spotted the second wolf.
"What the hell is this? A wolf tea party?" He asked aloud. Then ducking the swing of another knife weilding attacker, and kicking him in the gut.
The attacker doubled over, and he grabbed his arm, and yanked it back, almost breaking it, and causing him to drop the knife.
He finished him off with a swift knee to the head.
There was one attacker left. Standing still, obviously not knowing what to do.
The man simply strolled up to him and punched him out cold.
He brushed his hands off, and stretched.

After the last of the attackers was dealt with, Okami shook herself all over. The grey wolf looked up at the black wolf then to the man.

//I greet you, Kindred. I am Shadow Moonmist, of the K'jar. Might I ask why that two-legger was causing a racket?// Shadow cocked her head to one side, appraisingly. She had formal speech, as though a tribal leader--or a shaman--but also the quick words of a pack member, a midranked K'jar in a clan.

The man watched the two wolves, and scratched his head.

Okami looked back to the Black wolf. <I am Okami of the Royal Wolves of the mountains. I do not know what the 'racket' was about. I was meerly passing through.>
The grey wolf looked back to the human, questioning plain in her blue eyes.

The man caught the look. He hadn't been able to hear the 'talking' between them.
"Umm, I was attacked..." He said, feeling stupid.
