Nironai nodded in agreement as Trinity took refuge under Tekk's coat.

Megumi noded, but not before pulling her cloak over to hide her wings. you never knew how humans would react sometimes to things they didn't understand.
Meanwhile, in the dilapidated building at the end, pk huddled in a ball up in the rafters, shaking as her adrenalin dropped. Her muscles ached and she was tired, but she couldn't sleep yet...not yet. a couple of human cubs had seen her in the dark ally on the otherside of town; their father had chased after her with violence in his eyes. Her brother had once told her that humans did not under stand their kind, and feared what they didn't understand. Pk wasn't so sure, that hadn't been fear in that man's eyes, it had been hate... pk got up and climbed out a hole in the buildings roof. She'd get no rest tonight.

Rhianna led the party to the more expensive inn. She walked inside, looked quickly at the surroundings, and stepped up to the clerk at the desk. "Greetings. My party and I require rooms for the night." The clerk replied in a bored tone, "How many rooms?" She glanced back at her companions. "How many rooms?"

"One for me and Nir, and if Trinity wants, she can sleep in our room. We're used to kids, right dear? Might be funny without one," he chuckled.

She hesitated, counting up the numbers in her head. "Right, then. We need three rooms, as I am sure Lady Megumi does not want to share a ro-" she cut off, waving at the clerk to get the keys and lead the others to their rooms. Rhianna flew out of the building, heading towards the end of the street where the dilapidated building was. She had sensed, for a brief second, something down here. The weather, as odd as it may seem, had made a comment about a strange cat creature. Of course, the curious person that Rhianna was, she needed to find out for herself. When she reached the end of the street, she couldn't see anything. Looking up, she said, "Now would be a good time to show me where I am supposed to go!" A bolt of lightening lit up the sky, illuminating the creature. "Hello there." Rhianna was careful to keep her voice soft and soothing, loath to scare off the obviously frightened catling.

"Damn it!" Rhianna's normally peaceful manner evaporated. "Damn it all to hell!" An extremely loud boom of thunder was heard, and Rhianna took a deep breath, trying to keep herself under control. She sighed, abandoning the charge as a lost cause. At least for now. With her head bowed, she wearily trudged over to the inn. She stared in surprise at the rest of her companions who were still standing there. Ignoring the weariness that was tearing her apart from inside out, she raised an eyebrow. "I thought the clerk was going to show us to our rooms." Her voice was soft, but with an underlying sharp edge to it.
The clerk fussed with the papers on the desk in front of him. "W-well, Ma'am... I would have, but I didn't think that you would come back, and Ididn'tthinkthattheyhadthemoneytopayfortherooms," he said, rushing the words together until they were indistinguishable.
Rhianna glanced back at Tekk and the others. "I think that I came back, don't you? And," she added, the menace in her voice clearer now than it was before. "I think you are going to show us to our rooms right now. And I certainly hope that the inconvenience that you have caused us will be compensated for. Otherwise, I believe that Danhkar Tekk will be more than happy to persuade you to do so."

"My lady," Tekk said politely, but with that cold undertone, "I ask that you refrain from putting actions to me without my permission. If you wish to persuade the clerk to compensate for any imagined inconvienences, do it yourself."

Rhianna turned and glared. It wasn't the "Glare of Death" that she was ever so fond of, but one that promised that in the end, he would regret talking to her that way. "Then I suppose you don't mind when certain people overstep their bounds? Then, by all means, let them continue to treat you that way. Obviously, you do not know the 'reputation' of this town. Oh, but you will." Her voice dropped to a quieter level. "You will." She turned back to the clerk, pinning him with a frosty glance. "My key. Now." Imperiously, she held out her hand and beckoned for the key, which the clerk hastily handed to her. "Thank you," she smiled, her disposition turning back to her normal sweet self. She pocketed the key, and turned to leave the inn in a swirl of blue robes, only pausing to call to Tekk, "Oh, and if you think that the tone of your voice frightens me, try again. I think my youngest child could do better than that when he was all of, two? When you've lived as long as I, nothing will bother you." She hid a grin, knowing that most of the area would know when something bothered her. The light shows were quite impressive.

Tekk glanced at Nironai with a smirk. //As if an uppity woman could bother me, after dealing with the Tower... Or a bad reputation. We've been to Caherien, after all...// He shook his head, smiling. "She reminds me of Shana when she was this big," he remarked, holding a hand up to about a few inches above Nironai's head.
OOC: When she was a teen, that is.

After Rhianna's miniscule temper tantrum (read as the lightening show only last a few minutes), she headed to the jewelry shop, overhearing a piece of a conversation.
"Yeah, I 'eard the people are prime candidates for what we need. There's just enough of 'em, too." A gruff voice said. "Well, what're we waitin' fer? Get 'em." A squeaky voice ordered.
Oh, this is just lovely. Do I have to get involved with things that are none of my business? She thought to herself as she rushed back to the inn. A single word popped into her head. Yes. "Why me?" she whined, completely abandoning dignity for the ability to save some people's lives. Not that it was any of her business, of course. Barging into the inn, she slowed down, smiling sweetly at the clerk on duty. Fortunately, it was different than the one from before. "What room is the really tall man in?" she questioned. Wordlessly, he pointed to one of the rooms, which she stepped up to an knocked delicately.

OOC: Jill, wait for everybody else to catch up instead of going on a posting-spree.

Megumi kept her wings well hidden all the way up to her room. once inside, she locked the door, shut the window, and drew the shade before removing her cloak in the dark. She settled herself on the bed and went in to a state of half sleep. she didn't like being this close to humans.
