Incaris is a board where all are welcome. Fictional 'magic' is allowed, but not encouraged in any way, as we realise that some visitors may have problems with the fictional 'magic' because of their religion.
HOWEVER, those that do not wish to participate in magic-allowed threads will be alerted to whether or not a thread allows 'magic' by the new PTS system. (See below)
This board believes that all are welcome to their own beliefs, morals and views. But 'advertising' of these is prohibited.
This means that visitors, and members that are against magic do not have to participate, and will be given an early warning about threads that contain said fictional magic.
Summary: This board is designed for people from all religions to interact peacefully. This board is NOT for encouraging ANY specific religion.
All Admins and Moderators will STRICTLY enforce the rules of the board. Any members that do not follow the above statement can and will be banned.
This board is not about religion, but about friends having fun, dispite their beliefs.
Parents and guardians are welcome to make suggestions and ask questions, and are encouraged to do so.
The Rules are basically the same as most other roleplay sites:
1. Absolutely no intense swearing. Keep the swearing to a minimal. (aim for a PG - PG13 rating).
2. Before you begin roleplayinging you must have your character approved by Myself. You can have as many as you like, but creating vast amounts will not be permitted. Also, it is recommended that you just stick to one or two. It is important to know your character so that they seem to have real personalities. Too many characters that you use once or twice will seem dull, and lifeless.
3. If you join, please post at least once a week unless you have a good excuse. If you know you will be offline for a long while, please notify us by posting in the Announcements board.
4. Please, keep your post text legible, for example, no glowing text, pale or brilliant colors, etc. In addition, try and use real words, and not like you are using Chat programs, or TXT messages.
For example:
“U r so bad!” sed james.
See how bad this looks?
5. No godding! This means that you are not allowed to control characters that are not yours, or control the world around them in ways that are beyond reasonable. Character that are too powerful, never get hit, suddenly sprout powers as they need them and generally seem invincible, are NOT fun. They are actually very annoying.
Before submitting the character form, stop and think. “When I play this character, will it remind people of two kids shouting at each other ‘My PowerRanger is more powerful than yours!’?”
6. ALL threads must have a PTS before anything else.
A PTS (Pre-Thread Statement) Must contain two things:
A) Whether it is a Magic or Non-Magic thread
B) Whether the thread is open to join, or if permission must be asked prior to posting.
NEW :
C) A fairly detailed description of the plot of the RP, what's happening, where it is going. Some plot twists and the ending can be kept secret.
D) The range of acceptable player levels. The range of acceptable levels may ONLY be 5.
For example: A thread my have acceptable character levels of 5-10, or 10-15. But NOT 1-10.
Threads without a PTS will be locked until one is provided. Send to an Admin or Moderator.
This rule applies to all boards, including General Discussion.
Example:
Thread title.
PTS: This thread is a Magic thread. Please ask me before joining. Character levels 6 to 11. Phil is lost in the woods, until he meets some people to help him find his way. Before they are able to escape, they will have to face the guardian of the woods, a terrible red dragon named Bob.
(This is for a short Roleplay, and bigger stories will need longer summaries.)
7. Characters will be assigned a level by an Admin. You may only play that character in threads that allow that level. Should you disagree with the given level, or wish to have it change. PM or email me.
Levels range from 1-15. Levels have nothing to do with the 'quality' of a character.
