Rainlight smiled as her dragon rolled over in the water. "Stop that Rith. I'm trying to scrub your ridges." she said, scooping up another handfull of sand from under the water. Rith crooned and opened one eye at her rider.
<Scratch that side now.> the golden dragon said into the elf's mind. Rainlight laughed.
"Oh all right."

Nevina watched from a tree branch above, as was her habit. These two had caught her attention as there was never many people around and thus she had been terribly bored. The dragon was the most interesting as she had only ever seen them from far away.

OOC: Yay! Someone replied to one of my threads! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Rainlight continued to scrub Rith. There was a lot of dragon to scrub, so it usually took a fair amount of time. She didn't mind though, because the fire-lizards, Larie and Kryl, would help too. They were busy scooping up sand and vigorously cleaning the golden dragon's ridges.

One person... three... well, she wasn't sure what they were. The dragon, though, was beautiful. Nevina had never seen one such as it though the gold color told her it was probably female. Another female creature and then one male. Nevina studied the girl, though she wished Rial was not down for his nap as she was feeling out numbered. Still, he might have scared them away and it was interesting to see i dragon with its own pet person.

Larie chirruped softly and looked up at the trees. Rith rumbled pleasently and ducked under water again, upseting both little fire-lizards, who squaked in annoyance. <someone is watching us.> the dragon said. Rainlight looked up and pushed some hair behind her pointed ears as she scanned the beach.
"Where?" she asked softly, wisking she hadn't left her things under a tree. Wearing practically nothing wasn't the best way to meet a possible threat. <In one of the trees.> Rith replied.

Were they looking for her? Nevina was almost positive the little gold creature had seen her... Now what? If she moved she would be seen most likely and was not ready to jump out an attack if there was a giant dragon and three pets against just her. She eased back further into the tree, trying to slide out of view. Now she REALLY missed Rial.

Both Larie and green Kryl flew off into the trees. They landed on a branch above where Nevina was sitting and chirruped in welcome to the girl.
Rainlight scanned the trees where her fire-lizards when into the branches, not sure if she was seeing anyone there. "You can come out if you want. We are not going to hurt you." She called. It was true, there wasn't any reason to be on guard. Not yet anyway.

Nevina stared up at the lizards. She would have much rather prefered to go unnoticed but it was too late now. She slid from the tree, making sure to stay out of the water. She pressed her back to the tree trunk and stared back at the girl with the strange ears. Though her eyes then drifted to the dragon as she wondered who to speak to.
"Hello," she called in both their general direction.

Rith lifted her great head out of the water to look at the girl for a moment. Rainlight smiled, lifting a hand to her dragon's neck, and waded out of the water. Rith followed as well, but headed for a little further down the beach where she made a nice wallow in the sand.
Rainlight shook her head softly at Rith and turned back to Nevina. "Hello. We were not tresspassing, were we?" she asked, squeezing some of the water out of her hair.

Nevina shook her head and kept her arms poised at her sides near her daggers as she was not ver comfortable with creatures above her, behind her and in front of her all at one. "This land is unowned, i believe," she stated. "Who are you?" she asked, unable to contain her curiosity.

Rainlight called her two fire-lizards to her as they seemed to make the girl nervous. They settled on her shoulders, flipping their wings to their backs.
"I am Rainlight. That," she pointed to her dragon, "is Rith, I am her rider. And these two are Larie and Kryl. Who are you?"

"I am Nevina," Nevina replied, she gave a sharp whistle and Rial padded over. "That is Rial."
<Hi> Rial nodded, studying the newcomers cautiosly.

Rainlight blinked slowly at the appearence of the wolf. There weren't many large canines on the world she had grown up on. What was more surprising was that she could hear the creature. "Hello Nevina and Rial." She said politely. Rith turned her head to look at them, her multifaceted eyes slowly whirling a calm blue-green.

Rial yawned, mostly just to expose his large, sharp fangs and sat next to Nevina.
"Might I question what brings you out this far?" Nevina asked.

"Well, we arrived on an island," she waved off to the west, "a few weeks ago. We are sort of looking for other people."
