I could wave around a cross all I wanted, but it wouldn't do a damn thing, whereas somebody like Ellie could make a vampire back off, simply because she has the faith to do it.

I have a vampire character for Yahoo and my own site. She can't be harmed by fire because on top of being a vampire she's also a pyromancer.

Ah, I see... In V:TM, vampires can't use elemental magic. That's another WW game, though they can get it in a combined campaign. They've got all kinds of tricks, like shadow magic in the Assamite clan, and whatever the one the Lasombra had... it was a "I-make-your-will-mine" skill, very cool.

That sounds similar to what one of my online friends told me. He ws trying to figure out which "clan" my character could belong to.

Sounds like V:TM... it's the only vampire RPG that I know of that operates like that, though I could be wrong.

He did say it was V:TM. Mercedes Lackey's vampires are only vulnerable to sunlight and weapons of wood.

In V:TM, wooden stakes would immobilize the vampire, also making them bleed out. Sunlight would give a rather nasty burn, though certain clans were more affected than others.
Also, any vamp can die if they bleed out... right?

It's a difficult question. I guess it's all a matter of how fast they find new "life." It's weird, vampires are supposed to be immortal, yet they are so dependant.

The best thing about my char is that she can burn any wooden stakes or weapons before they reach her. I guess you could bleed them out but aren't vampires suppose to be fast at healing themselves?

I cant believe Largo approved this. You cannot be maimed by nearly any standards at all. Aren't you then godplaying? Thy will be absolute? The admin is bending his own set standards. You're too strong. Even for other worldy things...

Woah woah WOAH! Back up a mo...
Are you talking about Jen's character or the one of mine that I was talking about? Because My character isn't even on this sight. I play her on Yahoo and on my own site. And I know about not to god while I play.
I hate it when I see people in the yahoo chats that god everything. When something or someone attacks my characters, something always happenes to them regaurdless.

Well, it is late... or then, early rather. Sorry if I got confused. But yeah, most of Jen's characters like to lean on the invincible side. If we could, we'd do a mutiny on Larog here and get somebody more enforcing.

Some of my Yahoo characters are pretty invincible. But I know how to play those kinds of characters without godplaying. I know Largo trusts that Jen (and the rest of us for that matter) won't do that.
Like I've said many times, I hate that stuff. I think Jen know that I'll be the first to jump down her throat if she does that stuff. Even if no one else notices.

I wouldn't have approved it if I'd had serious concerns.

She'll discover--like I did--that half the fun of RPing is having characters that are weak. I had fun in a D&D campain (note the spelling) with a rogue that had bare minimum stats on almost everything but Charisma--which was a six.
