PTS: Non-magical
Name: Leeloo
Age: 20
Race: Human
Description: Leeloo is moderately pretty and very careful about her looks and grooming. Her orange-red hair is just long enough to reach past her shoulders, and she has wide-set gray eyes. Her face is oval-shaped, and her skin is freckled and tanned from being in the sunlight so much. For a human woman she’s slightly taller than the average height, and her build is proportionate - not slender and not heavy, but somewhere in between.
She wears pristine, loose robes in white, gold, and red: the colours of the Temple of the Unconquered Sun. When she can she goes barefoot, and when the ground is uncomfortable she wears red sandals.
Powers: Leeloo is an ordinary human and has no magical talent.
Weapons: Only a plain wooden staff with shells and feathers decorating it. Its head is ringed by colourful glass spikes. The staff is only a symbol of her status in the Temple and would probably be damaged beyond repair if she tried to attack someone with it.
Character: Leeloo is a devout believer and missionary for the Temple of the Unconquered Sun. She believes that the more people she converts, the greater her reward will be. Although independent and a born leader, Leeloo is utterly useless in a fight.
Leeloo can be greedy, vain, ruthless, and ambitious, but she’s also got a very kind, charismatic side. She is very composed, articulate, and dignified, which makes her excellent at public speaking. As a priestess she frequently exercises her more compassionate side on her fellow followers and potential convertees of the Unconquered Sun, but looks with revulsion on people who have chosen not to believe.
History: Leeloo was born into a fairly poor family. She has three brothers, all of whom are soldiers. Her parents, a miller and his wife, were also very devout and raised her from an early age to believe in strictness, dignity, and obedience, but piousness over all.
When she was young, she fell into the river and hit her head on a rock. The experience is blurry and strange, but from what she saw while half-conscious she’s convinced that it was the inexplicable will of a higher power that saved her from death. As an act of gratitude she decided to serve the Temple for the rest of her life. The event changed her outlook on life forever, and she now firmly believes that everything is preordained and governed by an unchanging, limitless force. This force manifests itself in the Sun, which gives life to everything in the world.
As soon as she was of age, Leeloo applied for an entrance to the Temple of the Unconquerable Sun. She was taught to read and write as a scribe and began to move up in the Temple's hierarchy. Quickly she found the Temple not to her taste; the priests and priestesses were too passive in their beliefs. They tried to teach her to toe the line between devotion and obsession, but she accused them of being cowards and non-believers. Shortly afterwards she fled the village and began to travel to larger cities as a beggar, but found that she was far more successful traveling as a missionary. She hasn’t lived in a single place for a long time and is continually on the move, since not everyone welcomes the Unconquered Sun as eagerly as she does.
Weakness: She's not physically strong at all and hates pain. She’s only human.
