Kura glanced over at Ari and Dar (his own personal nickname for the other guy) and grinned. "Oh yeah, that's half the fun."
He was not about to admit that he didn't actually find the stuff in his own cupboard. He had slipped through the shadows and swipped a couple of bottles from a tavern somewhere in Lunarius.

Darzenth savoured the taste of the exotic ale. "Well, maybe not quite half," he decided.

Now, for those of you who don't know what a Quickie (the drink) is, here is a little explanation: A Quickie has a few certain secret ingrdiants that can speed up the whole process of hangovers. You could be drunker then a stay-at-home house wife after noon and by the time you finished that drink you'd be soberer then a devoted priest. First sip; the whole world spins. Second sip; here comes the hangover. Third sip; recovery. Then down the rest and you feel like your old self! Hence the reason it's such a popular drink.

Ari decided that he had no idea what they were talking about and thus chose to be social only to the ale.

Laura was staring intently into her drink. She glanced at the others to see if they were watching. They weren't. Okay, she thought, here goes. She picked up the drink, braced herself, and took the first sip. Bam! The world was spinning. The memories of last night were echoing all around her at once. She remembered the bar, and her horse biting her, and the bowling over the bar right into the shelves full of alcohol, and ooh! That last bottled that didn't break on her head, but oh, how it hurt! And the mage, and... and now for the second sip. She doubley braced herself, took a deep steadying breath that didn't work and took the second sip. Aaaii! She grabbed her head and scrambled for something to hang onto, grabbing the bar as the world spun faster and suddenly everything hurt. Ugh, she could hear one of the men slurping as he drank his drink. Could he be any louder?! Ugh, now he was swalowing! She thought she was going to be sick. She held her gut and rested her head on the cool counter top, giving a growling, disgusting belch. Oh, she really was going to be sick! Must... take... drink! Her hand wavered around the counter top, searching for her shot glass. Her fingers brushed against cool smooth glass and, groped for it and slid it across the counter top. Very carefully, she raised her head, put her lips to the glass and took the third sip. It was cool and refreshing on the way down, soothing her aching stomach the moment it hit and kept going right on down to her toes. She restd her head on the bar and folded her arms into a pillow. She looked like she was going to sleep.

Darzenth made a point not to turn and stare, even with the horrific belch which he suspected could be fatal to someone standing in front of her.

Ari stared forward fearfully, suddenly cautious of his drink.

Kura grinned, watching. It was always fun to watch the people who chose to drink Quickies in stead of recovering naturally.

Laura peeked her eye open and looked at the only other three in the bar. Two were staring straight ahead trying a little to hard not to look at her and the bar tender was staring openly, a grin on his face. She licked her lips - they were dry after that belch - and raised her head a bit. "Good stuff," she rasped. She raised her glass a bit and addressed the other two. "Try it sometime, you-" she broke off, coughing and finsihed, "-love. It." She took another sip. The drink was fine now, kinda like a tangerine fruit drink, with lemons, and kiwi.

Darzenth took a long drink from the bottle, not noticing the ale that had taken on a slightly dark blue hue...
If he drank enough, maybe she would shut up.

Laura was put out that she didn’t get a response. Fine, she pouted. She pulled herself up and yawned - a contagious disease really - and sipped her drink. Hmm. She looked around. This place was really dull. Well, no, well - it was dull; but she wasn’t about to tell the bartender that! He was nice, and she didn’t want to hurt his feelings. Ah well, maybe she could do something to spice it up. Yeah, she was looking for a job anyway; she could be a bar wench! A - wait, was that what they were called? Waitress, wench maid, a bat wench - a bar maid! Yeah, she could do that. She was perky! She had to make nice with the bar keeper though. “Hello,” she said, sounding like a happy drunk. She wasn’t drunk though, she just sounded like one. She found it broke the ice really well.

"Hello, sweet cheeks." Kura said. "I see you survived my quickie." As he always seemed to have a grin on his face, he wiggled his eyebrows in what was suppose to be a lavious manner.

Darzenth bit back a sigh. Give him a sour faced bartender that never said a word till it was time to pay up any day. Oh well, at least this one wasn't talking to him at the moment.

"Hello," Ari grinned drunkenly at Darzenth. Just when you thought it was safe to re-enter a bar...
