PTS: no magic
Eli wrung out her cape for the thousandth time. "Day so-and-so of something," she stated aloud, "wet, not dry, wet, no fires, wet, cold, and did I mention wet?"
She shook her head and started walking again. If she walked long anough she'd run into something. At least the rain might finally stop.
Her wish came true. The first one, that is. While she'd been preoccupied, she'd run into a tree. Oh, happy day...
Eli rubbed her head, then went around the tree and went on. Suddenly she tripped over a root and twisted her ankle.
"Joys," she cried out to no one in particular. "Now not only am I wet, I'm going to have to just sit around and freeze to death."

Ryan landed next to the door with a soft 'thud'. He stayed in a crouch by her side. "You've been walking for hours, by any chance, are you lost?" he asked her curiously, a small smile playing on his lips.

"Well, duh! Waddya think, I'm out for a stroll?!" Eli demanded, hopping up onto her...er...one foot.

"Well, you couldn't have been at one point in time. But I think after the twentieth walk around that tree over there, it became more then a little obvious," Ryan stated, the grin getting larger.

"How long have you been watching me, then?" Eli asked, grinning too.

"I watched you when you passed right by me at the mouth of the forest," he stated, nodding backwards to where the city was on the other side of the trees.

"Oh, so you've been watching me this whole time. What are you, a stalker or something?" Eli demanded.

Ryan pulled out his daggers spinning the dangerous silver blades throughout his fingers like metallic blurs. "I'm a hunter, Madamoiselle," he said with a small chuckle, spinning the daggers into different places on his body then where he'd pulled them out from.

Ryan smirked. "These knives are all that I have from my past, they're sacred to me," he stated, hands resting on the handles carefully.

"They look pretty sacred to me, too," Eli informed him.
"Soooo....why were you watching me, anyways?"

"There aren't many people who are wise enough... or stupid enough to enter this forest. It's always amusing when someone enters and gets lost, I follow everyone I see in this forest. The directionally impared are the most amusing, trust me," he said witha shake of his head.
"Don't feel embarrassed though, you're one of at least twenty people a week that get lost."

That made Eli laugh.
"So you pretty much just hang around, watching people get lost?"

"When I'm here, yeah. I go all over though, I'm never particularly in one place longer then I possibly have to be," he said with a smirk, spinning his daggers as he grabbed onto a lower branch.
"Head East, it'll take you to one of the villages, straight forward," he stated, lifting himself into the tree.

Eli looked down at her foot, then up at Ryan. "Well, seeya, then," she called, limping away. OOC: So what next?
