David turned a cold shoulder to the man. "No thank-you." he started off into the crowd.

Braedon gave the girl a shrug.

Elizabeth sighed as she watched her brother disappear into the crowd.

"Did things just get a lot more complicated?" Braedon asked her.

"I am not sure. They very well might have."

"Do you think you'll need a hand?" He asked, his tone clearly saying that he found all this interesting, and wanted to see how it would turn out.

David walked into the crowd. He was fuming. People always told him he was too damn over-protective, but it's not as if he could help it. Joy's all he had left.
He was about to turn and apologize, when a carriage blared around the corner. David turned to look at the flying wagon, but wasn't fast enough to move, they collided.

Braedon heard the commotion.
"Hmm, what's happening over there?" he wondered out loud.

Elizabeth turned at the sound of the collision. She muttered a vague curse as she hurried to the accident without a word to Braedon.

Braedon followed, equally as silent.

David's eyes shot open. He was never one to feel pain, but this was creepy. He had just been hit, but he really didn't feel much. He looked up for someone familiar. He had forgotten who he was. "Joy?" he called out into the crowd. His voice was weaker then he ever had heard it.

Braedon knew who had been hit before he heard the voice. He had that strange feeling.
He parted the crowd as he went, commanding them aside.

Elizabeth shouldered her way through the crowd to her brother. Finally she managed to reach him. Vaguely, she was aware of the blood pooling around him. She ignored it as she checked her brother's injuries.

Braedon held the crowd back, and then instructed some people to get a doctor, or healer.
"Is he breathing?"

David glared at the man. "How in hell is it that I'm talking without breath! Idiot!" he mumbled to Joy.
His arm was hanging, the bone shone clearly through the skin. He couldn't feel it. He winced.
