"Well I'm not, so don't worry about that." Though his face couldn't be seen, he wore a broad--slightly deranged--grin, and it showed in his voice.

Eve squinted to see into the branches. "I killed my father." she said calmly.

Naias was starting to get very bored with this conversation. Finally she decided to interrupt. The bat darted out of sight behind the trunk of the tree before she shifted back into her normal form. Perching easily on the branches she swung back around the tree, hanging upside down still a foot or so above the man's head.
"I can see you." she said cheerfully.

The man was tall and lean, with pale skin and wild blue hair. His eyes were covered with round red glasses. He was grinning mockingly, and the metallic implant on his face glistened. Metal on one arm and leg gleamed as well. His clothes were all black, down to the trenchcoat he wore, even in the stifling heat of the jungle.
"And your point is?"

Naias grinned. "No point. Just that I can see you."

Naias looked up (for her) at the cat.
"Aren't you cute." she said before sticking her tongue out at the strange guy.
