He didn't seem to understand what she said, but followed anyway.

As they come over the ridge, Rith raised her head from the sands. The dragon watched them with blue-green eyes that whirled slowly.
Rainlight smiled at her weyr-mate. Now, both Larie and green Kryl flew up to her and landed on her shoulders. the fire-lizards looked at the man with curiousity.

The man gasped at seeing the dragon. "Dragone...." He breathed.
He spun around to Rainlight. "Narrell loksenia fay Dragone?" He asked and pointed out to sea.

Rainlight sort of recognized one word. "Dragon? Yes, Rith is a dragon. She will not hurt you though."
Do you think he wants us to take him somewhere? Rith wondered.
"I do not know." Rainlight said, looking at Rith for a moment before looking back at the man again. "Is that what you want? To fly on the dragon away from here?" To comunicate her question, Rainlight motioned to Rith then out to sea.

The man frowned. It looked like she had partly understood him. He got an idea from her hand signals.
He pointed at her with his left hand, then pointed to his eyes, then pointed at the dragon, then turned and pointed out to sea. Then looked at her expectantly.

Rainlight frown, watching his motions. "Have I seen a dragon out there?" she said slowly, pointing to herself, her eyes, then to Rith with one hand, then out to the ocean with the other.
Her fire-lizards chirped then took off, flying out int the direction they both had pointed in.

The man nodded enthusiastically. Waiting for her to answer.

The elf frowned again, thinking. Rith? Have you seen anything? she asked silently
I did see something far out to sea during the storm. the dragon answered. The fire-lizards appeared from between overhead. Rainlight caught an image from them.
"I think there is a dragon near. At least Larie and Kryl have seen one I think." She went over to Rith and climbed up onto the dragon's back. "We go to dragon." she said, holding out her left hand to the man.

Again, he didn't know what she was saying, but she seemed to want him to get on the dragon, so he did. One armed, but expertly.
"Sous Dragone cognitum?" The man asked.

"We go find dragon." Rainlight answered, taking the mans hands and putting them around her waist. She wasn't bothered by the fact that all she wore was a shirt. "Hold on. I do not want you to fall off."
Rith took off with powerfull downsweeps of her wings. Larie and Kryl took the lead, heading out over the ocean. Rith followed, flying low to the water, kicking up spray with her wings.

The man was astonished she didn't seem to notice his lack of his right hand. He held on with his left while the dragon flew.
His face didn't show any of the fear often seen in an amateur dragon riders'.

Rainlight had noticed the lack of one hand, but since their conversation was somewhat limited, she didn't bother to mention it. She could feel the man behind her. He must have flown before, since he wasn't at all tense.
Soon they were circling over something floating in the water. A very large something.

What was in the water certainly wasnt a dragon. Whatever the creature was, it was obviously very dead.
"Loksenia." He commented nonculantly.

Rainlight sighed. "Okay. Not a dragon. Let us try a little further."
