Rimmer had tronced along with the rest of the trio, and when they all passed through the door to the proverbial throne room, the rest of them put on a mask of reverence.
Rimmer ...did not. "Funny, I'd always imagined the Kings and Queens with fair faces," he noted, "as people who wore crowns and donned themselves in fancy robes, sitting in rooms made of gold and priceless paintings, and on seats that doubled as toilets.
"I wasn't expecting some computer-loving ..." he stopped himself, now laughing. "You remind me of the Kinitawowis."
There was a long, uncomfortable pause.
Rimmer had just realised how bad he smegged up.

Vex was broken from his entranced look of the computer gear, and looked up.
He didn't know what the man meant. He though she WAS pretty.
Nevertheless, "I should point out, I have no idea who this guy is." He pointed to Rimmer.
"What business do you have with me?"

Elizabeth looked back at the cop-like guy.
"You truely are insane." she said calmly, shifting as far away from him as was possible.

"You're a fool," she remarked calmly. "To challenge the ruler of this pit of dispair known as the underworld of society on her own territory." She remained seated, not letting any of them get to her. "I am Cobra, and that explains enough."

Rimmer cleared his throat, attempting to explain. He didn't want his people getting in trouble because of his own allergy to people who have power (abused or otherwise) and just plain better skilled then him. They told him he was a rebel in the body of a refined yet hurt man.
In a long, windy speech (just in case it was possible to bore pr flatter Her to death) he emphasized some key points.
One, he was sorry.
Two, he had indeed heard of the "wonderful, immaculate, talented, unstoppable," and et cetera, group of Cobra.
Three, if he were to ever be trapped or confronted by the "wonderful, immaculate, talented, unstoppable..." Cobra "in a building such as this one," that--no matter who he was talking to--the "boss" would get the same treatment as Her. He wanted to make sure they understood how he truly felt before he "ceased to be."

Vex looked her in the eye. And mouthed. 'I'm not with him'

Her yellow-green eyes were flat and cold, serpent-like, as she stared down the group. "You do not belong here. None of you. Explain yourselves."

Elizabeth tuned out the chatterbox when it looked like he wasn't going to be quiet any time soon. Instead she examined the room, noting the different equipment placed about. Finally her eyes fell on the computer in front of Cobra. She didn't even hear when the woman asked what they were doing there.
"You will want to stop that before the firewall catchs you. It'll wreck you drive if you don't." Elizabeth said.

Vex just stood quietly, not able to get a word in.

"I am through the firewall. It is primitive, after all." Her voice was soft and steely. "Government trash it is. My signal becomes a part of it, any incoming or outgoing transmissions come via me first."

"That wasn't the one I was talking about. There's another one on the next level. But that's if you are plannign to go any further..." With that Elizabeth shrugged.

"What do you take me for?" she snorted. "A bored child? I could see that one simply. I don't need to worry about number aging either, since my system is a part of it, technically speaking, several levels down."

Rimmer stopped his rant when it looked like Elizabeth and his future Smiter were talking. Oh good, I think she forgot about me.
I wouldn't bet on it, his mind poked at him. She was just bored with you for the time being.
What? ...No. Can't be. My "talk your ear off" device never fails.
Man, she sits at a computer all day and watches little blue lines and green nonsensica float accross the screen all day. Non-stop. Fueled by Jolt cola in the wee hours.
So? Rimmer pestered.
You didn't pull your ass out of the fire this time, buddy.
Rimmer shrugged and waded over to Her side, secretly, but hopefully far enough not to bug the Queen. He pretended to know what was going on.

Elizabeth just shrugs again, admiting the point, and went back to looking about the room again. Unconciously she brushed her hair back from her face.

Cobra scowled, her suspicion confirmed. "So... he's the most benign of your lot..." she hissed, dismissing Rimmer. "Both of you... filth..." She started to rise, and no matter how small she was, the darkly powerful woman seemed much taller than she was, espeically when irked.
