Rimmer started off wrong when he interrupted her. "I may be peripheral, but I am not insignificant."
Rimmer was wearing the World's Largest Grin(tm) when, much to Cobra's surprise, he pulled out his glock. And the moment was beautiful. The same glory as a capture of the Queen from her home square in a chess game.
He had the thing hoisted to her head. "I'm sorry, lass." And squeezed the trigger...

With a motion faster than the eye could follow, one of Cobra's metal-toed boots lashed out before the gun was fully raised, knocking it aside. There was a deafening *crack* as the gun went off, but the bullet missed Kitsun, and most of her computers, fortunately.
The hacker was furious now, though she was even colder than before. "You are lucky you're still alive..." she hissed. "That is only because I have more important things to deal with..." she hissed.

"And what are those more important things?" Vex asked, speaking for the first time in a while. His face was calm.

"Your kind... and hers..." Cobra snarled, eyes flat and emotionless. "You machine-humans... don't think I'm fooled, not for a minute..."

"You mean this?" He asked, uncovering his cerebral port.

"Yes..." she hissed, low and dangerous. She wouldn't shoot him, oh no... she would rip him apart with her bare hands...

Rimmer stood there quietly, he was retired... and his blood pressure was rising. He was too old for this stuff, he told himself. It was a fickle marriage of excuses: he was young enough to be needed but too old to do anything dangerous.
He was scared to death now by this queen. These... widget people... were more powerful than he was. And he would grow to accept that.
He could only stand there and stare through glossed eyes wide as dinner plates.
But he was pissed as hell for being ignored like that, and his entire kind... effectively phased out. "Uhm, excuse me, I hate to interrupt--but you widget people... will you make all the humans like yourselves? Or we all suffer slow... painfull... deaths?" Well, at least to Rimmer, being one of them was better than dying.

Elizabeth stayed silent, berating herself for revealing herself like that. She had known there were so many people out there that hated anyone like she was.
Still she faced the woman's wrath. She was a little afraid since she had seen how fast Cobra could move, but she would never reveal that.
Softly she spoke, her voice tight. "I made this myself... I put it in... It has nothing to do with them..."

"That's what the Yu want..." she said quietly, penetrating gaze somehow split between Vex and Elizabeth. "It could be what they want..."

"I suppose your quite right in thinking thats what the Yu want" He said, and Lent on her desk leaning toward her. "I've hear that few hate the Yu as much as you, that's why you might be interested in what I have to say." He spoke evenly, and stared intently into her eyes, showing no fear at all. Like he knew something she didn't

"Wait..." Rimmer interrupted again.
Vex was a diseased-thinking mookle who didn't know what he was saying. Rimmer didn't give him the right of speaking much anymore. "Yeah, you hate the Yu... but not even I know what side that you're really on.
"As was to my understanding, you wanted me to kill Her." He jabbed a finger at Cobra. "But then, as I listen to all you people talking, I find out that she wants to stop your kind, Vex--plug heads--into doing something evil.
"And damn, I'm confused. But at least she is human, or close enough. And the way I see it, she, now is saving the human race. Damn you both to Hades!" He accused Vex and Liz with pointed fingers.
"But if she isn't the one I'm supposed to shoot, than why in the name of Hades did you tell me to!?"
Rimmer was mad. Don't make plans with him over ale. He drinks like a mad horse and skews ideas.

You're a fool. Sit down to the side where you will be out of my way." she snapped to Rimmer.
Her cold eyes turned to Vex. "Speak, or leave."

Rimmer made a quiet whimper and quickly sat on the floor.
Now his butt would be cold. Don't blink, don't breathe, and don't you dare move. Just. Stay. Put.
The geeks have it all in order... and Rimmer, you were drunk the night they all sat around the proverbial campfire and discussed it.

Vex smiled and reached into his pocket, pulling out a small blue and green tube with a metal frame. It was about 4 inches in length, and an inch and a half in diameter. He pressed a button, and the blue/green shields moved away to reveal a slowly pulsing green light. It looked radioactive, but wasn't, as he was holding it fearlessly. There was obviously something at the centre of the container. But the light made it hard to see what is was. "Do you know what this is?" He asked her. But looked at them all. As if he knew they wouldn't know.

Cobra eyed the thing mistrustfully, crossing her arms over her chest. She wasn't sure if she wanted this... thing... in her 'office' or not.
