PTS: Magical thread, feel free to join until I say it is closed.
Darwood walked down a lonely dark street in the outskirts of the Incarius City. He saw a nearby Inn and decided to call it a night. He opened to wooden door of the inn and walked slowly and tiredly in, he closed the door behind him. The Innkeeper said “Sorry we have no more rooms available tonight. But if you need somewhere to sleep you can sleep here, in the main lobby on one of the benches.” Darkwood replied “Thank you very kindly Sir. What payment will you require?” The inn keeper just shrugged and said “Just half of the normal price please.” “Very well.” Replied Darkwood, who then pulled out a bag of gold and placed 5 gold coins on the desk.
Darkwood retired to a bench on the left side of the lobby, lit a candle, pulled out a map and placed it on the other side of the bench. The map said on it Yogurts hideout, Darkwood started revising the map.

Rainlight walked into the Inn, pulling the hood of her cloak back. She paused near the doorway two tiny dragon-like creatures landed on her shoulders, one green the other golden. She murmured slightly to them and sent the green back outside. Larie, the gold, curled her tail around her elven mistress's throat. After inquiring with the Innkeeper about lodgings, she received the same answer. She thanked the man and paid him.
"Isn't the worst place we've slept, is it little one?" She said softly to her fire-lizard. As she settled on a seperate bench, she spared a glance at the man working on another bench. She could hear the mild grumblings of her dragon in the back of her mind. They weren't able to find a large enough cave for themselves, so Rith was staying hidden in some woods outside the the city limits while Rainlight was spending the night here.
They all hoped that the rain would stop before morning.

Darkwood noticed the women come in and get the same answer as what he got. He also noticed the dragon on her shoulder, the dragon worried him, it seemed the last time he saw a dragon he ended up fighting it on one of his other quests. But another thing made him think about where that other dragon went, he sat there a minuet thinking. Then decided to roll up him map and place it back into his rucksack. He sat there for a while staring at the dragon… Just thinking.

Laura Blade rode her black stallion up to the door wnas left it standing there as she went inside. She wasn't worried about thieves; Artemis was the kind of horse that scared off most people simply with a look. He WAS a war horse after all. She took one look around before closing the door with a serious creak. Hmm, they really needed to oil that thing. There were two people on the benches lining the walls and the inn itself appeared to be well kept and well lit. There was a man behind a desk to her right. She walked over and asked how much. "We're filled," he replied. She asked how much it would be to sleep on a bench for the night and get some food for her horse. "Mmmm, 10 gold." "What?! That's highway robbery! I could almost rent a fully furnished apartment for that much! 10 silver could rent me a room for two night anywhere else!"

Larie returned the man's stare, the fire-lizard's multi-faceted eyes a swirling blue green. The little gold flipped her wings and continued to stare back at him.

Darkwood quickly looked away to look at the comotion over at the desk.
Darkwood stood and walked over to the desk. "Whats all this comotion about?" he enquired.

Laura looked over at Darkwood, then back to the innkeeper. She hesitated, then scowled as she took out her purse and began sifting around for ten gold pieces. "This had better be because of a good jousting tourny in town because this is rediculous." She hated it when hired ruffians did that, coming voer smoothly and...looming. Slamming the gold down on the desk, she gave Darkwood a scowl and went to find herself the biggest, widest, most comfortable looking bench she could find, muttering all the while about overpricing, two-timing, cheap little bastard innkeepers that took advantage of travelers.

Darkwood looked hurt, why did she scowl at him just because he asked what the comotion was about. He could feel the anger building in him, so he retired back to his bench and stewed for a while then looked back at the dragon. This dragon looked harmless and so did the stranger that had entered with it.
Darkwood walked over to the women bearing the dragon, "Good day." he said to her in the hope of starting a convosation.

Laura settled down on one of the benches, the most warped one she could find, providing a slight conclave for her to nestle in and rested her head on her bunched up cloak. She unhooked her belt and tucked it into the nook of the bench, pulled one of the daggers out of her boots and placed it beneath her cloak and laid back, relaxing her mind for sleep. Dang, these benches were alot harder then they looked, seh thought. Maybe if she wriggled around enough she might get a splinter. She winced. There were a lot of places she could get a splinter. Laura shifted and turned on her side, settling deeper into the nook. After a moment, her eyeswere drawned to the two other occupants of the room. They seemed to be getting on amiably. Was the hired help always allowed to- to - oh, what was that word? Uh... Socialize! Thaaat was it. Now, what had she been thinking?

Larie whistled a trill at the woman on the other bench as Rainlight looked up at the man. He didn't seem threatening in any way. Larie wasn't concerned and the firs-lizard was an excellent judgement of character.
"Hello." she answered in a friendly tone. She smiled up at him.

Laura's eyes nearly popped out of her head. Did that dragon- it just whistled at her! She blinked and looked at it closely. She did hear it whistle at her didn't she? The thing looked over at her. It did! It did! It did just whistle at her! She closed her gaping mouth and quickly shifted onto her back. She waited a minute, then slyly peeked over at the dragon again out of the corner of her eye.

Darkwoood smiled back and also gave the drago a smile. "What brings you to these parts?" he asked in a merry tone of voice.
Also he spared a look at the person on the other bench then just looked away when he saw the disbelive in their face. "Whats her problem?" He thought to himself.

Rainlight put a hand up to calm Larie and keep the fire-lizard from disturbing anyone. "Hush now, dearling." she murmured softly to the gold. In a slightly louder tone, she continued.
"It seemed like a good direction to go in. I had heard this was one of the larger... cities." she paused briefly over the word, since it wasn't one she would have normally used. "We are looking for work, I guess."

"If it be work your looking for, this is the place to find it, althought I advise you not to go looking for work in the outskirts of town, all it be is robbers and theives there." He said to her, then pausing for a minuet "Nice dragon youv'e got there there, may I enquire of its origin?" He asked.

OOC: One note for Rainlight. "stuff like this" = talking out loud. stuff like this = mind-talking (mostly to her dragon). I think I explain it all in her bio if there's confusion.

Rainlight nodded, accepting his advice. It was sound advice. She hadn't survived for so long on the outskirts of settlements like this without learning a few things about those who also made their living in such areas. She looked at him in surprise for a moment when the man mentioned her dragon. It was unlikely that he could have seen Rith.
"My dragon?... Oh! you mean Larie." Rainlight gave a laugh, though she could hear Rith grumble in the back of her mind again. He didn't mean you dearheart. I don't think they have fire-lizards here, so how would he have known the difference. she thought back to Rith.
"Larie is not exactly a dragon. She is a fire-lizard. They are not quite like the dragons on our world, but for most they are as close as nevermind. I do ride a dragon though."
