Vex tossed the smoking corpse/shield into one of the confused men, and then grabbed Elizabeth, who was closest, and pulled her towards the opening so they could get through it. All the while keeping up a constant stream of fire.

As the pair tried to hurry away, some of the criminals rushed to block them. Some grabbed Elizabeth, trying to keep her still.
OOC: Don't worry, and just react to the grabbing. I've got Plans.... Mwuhahaha!

OOC: As long as I can fight the Yu soon, I'm happy.
Now let's get in character:
Rimmer nudged through the rest of the underling crowd, only having to fire a last bullet at a man who'd thrown a knife too close to his head. Rimmer feared of a scalping if it had turned out any different...
He loved his hair.
Well anyway, soon Rimmer could relax with a triumphant smile. There was no one in his way anymore. He dashed down the tunnel faster than most thought possible for humans. "Tekk!"

Elizabeth growled sharply and tried to wrench herself free. Useing the butt of her gun for extra weight, she swung her fist at one man's temple.

Vex felt the tug, and them grind to a halt. He spun round and fired in the direction of the criminals holding her.

There came a sound like some one cutting air. Something hit the ground with a thud, followed by the man, who crumpled to the ground. "You shouldn't talk so much," said a dark shape with twin red glowing circles for eyes. A long, slender piece of metal, dark and dripping with something, dangled from his left hand. Abruptly, the cutting air sound whipped around like wind, and another man fell. "Now, why don't you just go," Tekk said calmly. The way was cleared, each person having taken out a different man.

Elizabeth meerly looked at Tekk. "So good of you to help out." she said softly, her tone heavy in irony. She stooped and picked up two of the laser weapons the men had been using.

Rimmer looked as Liz picked up the spare, already been used armory and let out an amused chuckle. He thought they were ready for anything. Just in case they could, in fact, pull the apocolypse out on them.
But ultimately none of this would ever be known. Rimmer remembered what the mechanoid advised him to do, and in the interest of keeping him friendly and sane, uttered but a single word. "Lovely."
And soon he was in stride with the others walking down the rest of the way.

Vex gave them a look, but said nothing.

Tekk merely looked at Elizabeth. "Move your ass," he advised.

Vex pulled Elizabeth again. It was an obvious attempt to get her moving.

Elizabeth glared at Tekk, but started moving again when Vex pulled her arm. In her mind why shouldn't she take one of the laser guns. They would be more useful than a tradition gun, not running out of bullets and such.

OOC: I suggest we motivate things. Sam has plans, so she gets the floor--no ifs, ands, or buts. It's her thread anyway. I'm just really starting to feel their claustraphobia.

Vex holstered one of his guns, and began running down the tunnel, only letting go of Elizabeth when he knew she was following.
