Landon almost saw red, or green. He attempted to calm himself, but found himself very unable. Blessedly, his face was still calm.
"May I please be excused, for a moment?" he asked. It was hard, his throat felt like it was about to rip itself to shreds.

Jupiter watched his expression with care and nodded, still wearing that slightly amused smile on her pale face.
"Go ahead, but not too far, the Prince will probably call you soon."

Landon looked away from her as soon as he possibly could. He didn't even know why he reacted like he did... was it possible that he cared for her?
Probably not.... but she obviously cared for him, or maybe Rhen. Still.
He slammed out the door, and almost ran outside, where he walked around for a bit, loosing all sense of time.

It seemed to draw on for hours. Rhea hated loosing sense of time...
Time was what had kept her alive all those years at the front. Timing and precision. Not to mention luck...
The door of the marble chamber flung open and Triton stormed in, scowling. He was good at intimidation, that was certain... or he had finally learned to be good at it anyway.
A dark cloud seemed to hang over his head and his eyes flashed.
"What the hell are you doing?' he cried, making the guards scurry out the door. Rhea stood up, looking at him calmly. "I am doing what i think is right." she replied.
"Landon... his child... they don't matter... Gods, Rhea." he whispered, voice breaking. Rhea blinked slightly, confused.
He took her face in his hands delicately, looking at her hard. "I can't let you die."
Rhea didn't pull back, but didn't move forward in the least. She stood still. "Trtion...let go of me." she whispered.
He let go, quickly, looking down. His version of showing hurt. Damn him...
He took her hand. "Rhea please."
For a moment Rhea thought of pulling away, but it seemed that he may well be able to find a way out. "Do what you can, do not let them be hurt." she replied. Triton sighed. This was going to be political warfare... fine, he'd do it.
"Bring Landon in." he told the guard, standing near the door. His hand tightened on hers. Rhea looked down at it, and frowned...

Landon was sitting at the foot of a tree, then stood up again. He looked towards the mansion, and decided that it would probably be best if he hadn't come at all.
Maybe if he hadn't decided to be so self-centered he wouldn't have caused all this mayhem. He didn't want to be here... maybe he should just take Rhen and leave again.
Yes, that was probably best.

A guard came down, having looked around for the Lord's magical aura.
he bowed. "Lord Landon, Prince Triton would like to have a word with you concerning the Lady Callisto's trial..." he murmured.

Landon looked at the man. "I'm a servant, not a lord. You don't need to bow, or... or anything," he mumbled, and headed back into the castle.
Once the was in the entrance way, he remembered that he didn't know where Prince Trition's rooms were. He grumbled, and waited for the man to come back.

The guard had been warned of this reaction and therefore paid it no heed. He continued down the hallways, taking twists and turns that would make everyone else a little dizzy and very much lost.
In a couple minutes they were standing in front of a doorway.
He pushed the door open, motioning for Landon to follow.
"Your highness..." he murmured, bowing to Triton, who sat on the bed with Rhea's hands in his lap. Triton looked back over his shoulder at them expectantly. Rhea looked down at her hands, frowning still.

Landon didn't know what to expect, so he didn't look. He bowed to the prince the second he got into the room, simply so that he wouldn't have to see anything.
"What is it your highness wishes of me?" he asked in his best servant's voice. But he didn't lift his head up.

Triton stood up, pulling Rhea along with him. "No need to keep your head down, Landon, even servants do none of that." Triton told him quietly, squeezing Rhea's hand.
Rhea felt something begin to start in her throat. Unsure of what she was she blocked it out and held it back...
Had that been a growl?

Landon actually did let out a growl. "I am a servant,, " he told him, and made it a point of keeping his eyes down. He did not want to see them.
It was like a blow to him everytime that Triton spoke, to know that she was there, and that he couldn't look at her. But he'd never been one without will power.

Rhea winced ever so slightly. Triton already had reason to dislike him...
"Landon, stop it..." she murmured softly, looking down at the ground too. All too tired to do much but ask weakly for them to not argue.

Landon looked up, and instantly regretted it. There was a boiling inside him now that he didn't like very much. His hands quivered at his side for a moment, but he stilled them. He looked back down to the ground, and resumed being completely calm.
"Stop what, Lady Callisto?" he asked the ground, unable to keep staring at them.

Rhea sighed gently. It had been a long trip, she had had to shield them from too many enemies that Landon knew nothing about. Her power was drained, her soul felt drained, her mind felt drained.
"I'm leaving..." she murmured, pulling her hand from Trition's grip. "Your highness..." she added, glancing at him a bit tiredly.
Triton looked on at her for a second, looking wistful.
"Don't touch me." Rhea whispered, starting to the door. Triton blinked after her, like he had been slapped.

Landon wanted to go with her, almost felt like begging her to take him with her, but he restrained himself. He still couldn't look up, but he could feel her, like a warm breeze on his skin.
