Landon walked back onto the street as his prey walked out. He observed her a bit more, and was able to tell where at least four of her weapons were located. Only four... that made him smile.
She wasn't easy prey, but she was particularly difficult either. She believed in staying on her own, and that was fine.
He hopped into his sedan and pulled out of the parking lot sharply, going the opposite direction to his hotel room.

Rhea stopped and whirled around, catching just the barest glimpes of the sedan driving away. Annoyance blossomed in her chest.
"Damn it all..." she growled, slipping into her black mini cooper. Sure, it was small and competely cute, rather than aggresive, but she had had it made specially for speed. The little baby could outrun anything.
She pulled out of the parking lot and started home, too pissed off to care about anything else.
Slightly surprised, she pulled up by her apartment. "hell, no speeding tickets. Where the hell is the police, anyway." she grumped, slipping out and into the building. The stairs leading up to her apartment were dark, the light still turned off.
She sighed and went up anyway. The browning bumping along beside her was a good comfort. She turned the corner, pulling her keys out of her pocket. She looked up and froze.
The door to her apartment was open slightly, the light of the hall falling into the dark entrance. Her hand was wrapped around the Browning before she knew it. How sad was that, pure instinct...
"I've seen too many baddies." she whispered, starting forward slowly. She frowned at the door, unsure of what to do. She could open the door and go in all tense cop, or she could go and call the police and probably loose about an hour of sleep.
She sighed. "Oh hell." Calmly she pushed the door open with her left hand, her other hand tight on the Browning. The hall was dark, and completely silent. Sighing softly she looked left and right, noting the empty closet to her right, some things tossed out randomly on the floor.
she started down the hall towards the living room. Heavy black drapes held back any light from coming in. the shadows were heavy, but she could see well from the light of the hall outside.
The living room was empty, as was the kitchen, she could see it over the counter. There was nowhere to hide there.
that left her room. Frowning she started down the right hall, holding her gun up steadily. More pissed off than anything else. Being annoyed was better than being scared.
Her bedroom door was left open, clothes and books tossed randomly on the ground, like someone had looked through all her stuff. She looked around, feeling silly suddenly.
There was no one there. She sighed and put the gun back, turning right back to the front door. She closed it and locked it quickly, annoyed.
Whoever had come in left the traces obviously. They wanted her to know they had looked through her things. She growled softly. Great... more baddies.

Landon spun around and went to his hotel again, deciding that he didn't really want to deal with anything more. He sped up and made it there within fifteen minutes.
He rushed past the teller, almost completely ignoring her smile, and into his first story room. He took a quick shower and noted that everything was in place. Especially his arsenal of guns.
His uzi was by his bed, his knives on his side table, throwing and daggers. His berretta was on the counter beside him, and his garrotte was still wrapped snuggly around his hat, that he hadn't taken.
Hidden in his room, where only he knew, was his derringer and his seecamp. Not many people knew anything about him, let alone where he kept his weapons.
He smirked slightly as he sat back down on his bed. He pulled up his laptop and checked his e-mail. She was supposed to be killed by tomorrow at two o'clock, he could deal with that.
For the price on her head, he could deal with pretty much anything. He quickly pulled up a different file, reading it for the fifth time in one day, her file. An executioner, much like him, only she did it legally.

Rhea slept through the night with fitful wake ups every half an hour. If it did her body any good the next day it sure didn't feel like it.
It was late when she finally dragged herself out of bed. She glanced at her alarm clock and groaned, wanting to sleep more.
10:30. The last couple nights must have caught up to her.
In a record of fifteen minutes she was already out the door, drinking too hot coffee.
A hunt meant work, from dawn to dusk, she had already skipped a couple hours after dusk. she had to hurry.

Landon was stalking her, he'd gotten a new car. Green hummer. He liked it, a really nice off road and on road car, costed a fortune to rent although.
All his weapons fight snuggly in it's wonderful compartments. An army car at it's best. He saw that he had a total of 4 hours to get the hit done, and be out of there.

Rhea was unaware. she wasn't paranoid, always looking behind her, feeling tense and defensive... All right the diffensive was there, but she wasn't always watching out for the bad guys.
That's why she didn't notice being discreetly followed. Her mind was racing ahead of her, trying to find the loop in the case that would show where the killer would strike next. He had killed enough for her to know his style like it was her own. Problem was, he didn't have a single pattern as to who he was killing.
She drove most of the way to the other side of town, then parked and decided it was best to walk. This side of town had every form of addicted bastard there was. Whether it was blood lust or sex lust it didn't matter. Here you could get anything, including guns that were not made or imported into the country.
Not legally anyway.
There was one shop that gave those guns out. She had bought some of them herself actually. Guilt didn't work so well on her anymore.
sighing she looked around quietly, her eyes noting each and every sunken face, looking at her with fearful, lustful, or plain sad eyes. She looked back at them with anything but pity. They did this to themselves. She had nothing to offer.

Landon noticed exactly where she was going. He smiled to himself. People always died in these backroads... mind you, none quite as famous as her, but that didn't matter. It'd give these poor bastards something to talk about, they saw the ever so famous 'Rhea Callisto' meet her fate.
Slowly, he started weaving through the crowds, his right hand on his berretta, waiting for the perfect moment, when the crowds got too overwhealming. He stepped forward until he could almost step on her heels. His gun was pointed at her, and ready, and she had no idea.

Rhea felt a sensation on her shoulders and heard the warning bells ringing in her head. She very nearly felt the heat of the body behind her.
Her eyes widened ever so slightly as she walked. "Oh hell..."
She swung around without really thinking about it, deciding to face him.
"Well, hell, you could have at least introduced yourself."

Landon's eyes were dead when she turned. Pityless golden orbs, blank as lanturns. He backed her up into an alleyway.
"I don't believe in introductions, Rhea. If you don't know me, I guess that's just too bad for you," he told her, taking his berretta out, and keeping a firm aim on her chest.
He didn't know why he didn't shoot, guess he wanted to see the reaction. She seemed a bit thick, someone following her just to introduce himself? I think not, not for someone like her.

Rhea smirked at him in return. "Do you really think that someone like me would not notice you were following, or that i was your target to destroy?" she asked, cocking her head at him calmly, as if she had everything in control, even though he was the one holding the gun.

Landon almost laughed, but he settled for a smirk. He continued to back her up, then took out another gun, his seecamp.
"So, Rhea. I guess that this one will be one for show? Just to make sure you know me?" he asked her, and shot down at her leg with one gun, and at her right arm. Neither shot hit the bone.
"Ta, love. I'll see you in a bit," he whispered at her, and took off with a showing off flare of his black trenchcoat.

Rhea winced, biting her lip hard to keep from crying out too loud.
She crumbled to the ground, cradling one arm to her chest, the blood drenched her clothing quickly. She said nothing, but the flame of sudden anger said all.
"Bye, Landon."

Landon almost flinched at the sound of his own name coming from her lips. She wasn't supposed to know that, how did she know that? It didn't really matter. If she didn't manage to a hospital soon, she'd die anyway.
He leapt into his dark green hummer and headed out towards his hotel room again, he needed to get the blood out of his shirt before it dried.

Rhea watched him silently, making no attempt at going after him, or calling for help. She had expected something close to this, though a death situation had seemed more accurate a couple minutes ago.
Hopefully not her own death, but you never know.
Groaning she pulled herself up, using the wall to keep all weight off her wounded leg. She ground her teeth, pain running up her leg like firey little fingers doing a dance.
He'd pay for that, she's make sure of it. It was only logical to let him have the first move, he was hunting her, not the other way around... until now anyway.
ooc: skip to wherever, i don't want to waste time with the hospital and all that.

Landon was pissed off. He didn't want that to have happened. If anyone could have seem him, they'd have seen almost literal steam coming from his head.
Of course, at that time, it could have been mistaken for the shower. He really did have to get that blood off of himself. It wasn't good to look suspicious. As he washed off, he did notice all the scars covering him. He smiled down at them all, a memory of all those people that fell to his hands, now to make this girl fall.
Getting out of the shower quickly, he wrapped a towel around his waist and walked to his computer, he e-mailed the idiot sending him after Rhea, and told him the deal was off. He'd given her a couple injuries that she'd remember, and probably wouldn't be out of the hospital for awhile.
He didn't bother waiting for the response, rather he got dressed again in his full black, and guns. He put on a few more then usual, with his black duster to keep them all hidden, especially the uzi, people usually got scared seeing that.
He gote ready within five minutes and headed out the door to the hospital. He wanted to see this girl, apologise, and tell her that he wouldn't be out for her for awhile. No, he was going to go after the bastard that gave her to him. He never did like hurting another member of the assassin family, especially one with such an extensive reputation.
Already knowing where her hospital room was, it was private, he headed there ignoring all the people who attempted to ask him where he was going or what he was doing, he didn't need their help. Slowly he entered her room, her bed was curtained and he didn't know if she was sleeping or not. It really didn't matter, if she was, he'd just leave a note.
