pts: no magic, please don't join and don't ask to.
Rhea didn't particularly like tea...mostly mint tea. It was too watery, or maybe it was that odd after taste. Whatever it was, she didn't like it. She would take an esspresso anyday.
A laywer sat across from her, reading out some document or another telling her the laws abiding her next job. She had gone through that so many times she could quote things by paragraph and sentence.
The laywer stopped in mid sentence, watching her stand up. "Uh.. Ms. Callisto, we're not done yet."
"Yes we are." she replied, deciding to leave. She tossed a dollar on the table and started out the door, shoving curls back.
Laywers could all rot in hell one day, hopefully.

Landon watched his hired prey walk from the coffee shop. He bumped up his glasses on his nose and preceeded to blend into the crounds around him.
He kept only close enough to see the back of her head, and her hair bouncing when she walked. He smirked a bit. He'd started his hunt today, being offered quite an amount for her.
As the people on the sidewalk got thinner, he started to slip into the shadows, and move out only when he really needed to.

Completely unaware Rhea continued down the street, head bowed in thought.
So, now she was assigned to do another execution, wonderful. Another group of people would be after her head...
Let's add to the collection of hating Rhea clubs.
She shrugged her thin shoulders slightly, loosening the muscles. Tension wasn't good, mostly when there was nothing threatening...
She paused. Threatening.
She stopped walking, her eyes looking both ways. Was it just her being paranoid or did it feel like someone was watching?
"Oh shit."

Landon saw instantly when she noticed him. He didn't care to be noticed. Instead of risking being seen, he walked past her on the crosswalk and into an alleyway.
Slowly he played the last half an hour over in his mind. She was an executioner for the state, a detective one apparently, and she had quite the sense for people watching her.
A smile formed on his face. A challenge, oh how he did love a challenge.
As he slid into his sedan, he reached onto his shoulder holster to retrieve his prized berretta. He quickly checked to make sure that it was loaded, and placed it into a different holster on his body.

Rhea's green eyes searched the crowd carefully. She turned and stood with her back pressed against the wall of a building beside her.
Her eyes followed people with seemingly no interest, until they landed on a man. She looked at him with more care than usual. There was nothing particularly threatening about him, but something just nagged at the back of her head.
She frowned slightly and watched him slip into a sedan.
She shook her head. //being paranoid....again...//
Sighing she turned back to walking to her next appointment, ears listening carefully to anything and anyone, eyes searching for secret signs.

Landon softly followed the girl, although he attempted to seem his best not. He found a relative direction that she was going, and made sure to leave for five minutes and come back, the best way not to gain attention.
He observed everything about her, making sure that he knew every inch and could recall her plainly from memory if ever asked about her. The next part was harder, getting to know her.
He looked over at his seat next to him, where his uzi lay. He didn't think he'd have to go that far, but he'd brought it for protection, he wore it all the time anyway.

Rhea felt the tension begin to form over her shoulders again.
She ground her teeth slightly and kept on walking, calmly as if nothing were happening.
She slipped a hand into her coat pocket and pulled out a make up mirror. She had never used it before, but these odd things came in handy sometimes. in her other hand she held a black eyeliner, though that was also for the sake of apperances.
She turned the glass slightly to look behind her as she walked.
The black sedan was following, it was the same one, she was sure of it.
She turned sharply into an alley, slipping her hand into her coat to wrap around her browning.
"Damn..."

Landon took a breath, she'd seen him, he'd been careless. Letting out another small breath, he circled the block, turned around and left back to the cafe that he'd first seen her at.
He walked in and ordered a black coffee, then moved to a table to think. She was smarter then she seemed, but that was alright. He liked the smarter ones, always went down with more of a thud.

Rhea looked past the corner, watching him disappear. So, he had been watching. Why though?
A frown crept over her features for a second before she started right back where she had come. The appointment could wait, she needed to think...
She stopped in surprise, looking at the black sedan parked near the cafe she had just left.
"Just my luck." she groaned softly. But then again she wasn't one to just let things go like that. Shrugging to herself she pushed the door open, slipping into the cafe.
Technically speaking she was jeopardizing innocent citizens... but no one had to know that, did they?

Landon noticed her at the door, he smirked, then laughed, looking at the newspaper. He was reading the comics, he had every right to laugh, even if they weren't that funny.
He observed her through lidded eyes, a speacialty of his

Rhea ignored him, and settled down by a corner table, watching him though she wasn't looking in his direction.
As the waitress came around she turned and since the waitress was standing directly in front of him she was able to get a quickie description of him memorised as she ordered her esspresso.
//Who the hell are you...?//

Landon finished reading the paper, then quickly drained his coffee. It left a pleasing aftertaste, he always loved this place's coffee.
He looked outside towards the parking lot, he couldn't get into his sedan, it would look too suspicious. With a sigh, he got up gracefully and went towards the door, rushing off in a different direction, he'd come to pick up the sedan later.

Rhea watched him for a long moment, then settled down, pulling out a laptop from the bag she had been carrying.
She could wait, she had work to do anyway. Silently she settled down for a long wait.

Landon found the lady's apartment easily enough. She had a bad and good rep around the town, easy to find her in any way. He quickly rumaged around her house, learning strange things about her, such as the holster in her headboard.
He smirked at that, before rearranging things so it looked like a robber came in, and leaving with the door ajar ever so slightly.

Rhea blinked thoughtfully for a moment, rubbing her eyes.
She glanced at her watch and frowned. It had been too long. Unless she was planning on staying there overnight she had better head home.
She sighed, hating the fact that she had been unable to get another glimpse of the strange man.
Whatever his reason for following she would have to worry about it later. Tomorrow she had to start hunting... Some serial killer was out loose and she had permission to go in and get rid of him.
About blood time, fourteen deaths was what it had taken for them to give her the green light. She had seen some of the bodies left over from the killer's attacks. She wasn't pleased about going in to face him, he was a very disturbed man. But it was that or another young girl raped and murdered...slowly.
Sighing she started out of the coffee shop, pulling her bag up onto her shoulder slightly.
