"It's two silvers a night, counting meals. Drink and stabling are extra." Jan said with a shrug. Personally she felt the prices were a little high for such a dive but who was she to quibble with her current boss.

on the inside, megumi cringed. She hoped the rain didn't trap her here too long. she'd only have enough to stay for three nights. "i just have to make the best of what i've got." she muttered as she handed over enough silver for the night. God's willing, the rain would stop poreing down before the next evening.

Jan shrugged again and accepted the money. She motioned the girl to follow her to the counter. She reached behind it and, after dropping the money in the coin box, grabbed a key for an empty room.
"Room's are upstairs." She said witha jerk of her head in the proper direction as she handed the key over.

"Thankyou." Megumi took the key and went to find her room. It was a modest little room with a lumpy bed, a desk, and a chair. there was a hook on the back of the door, she removed her sword belt and her staff holster and hung them there. she moved to the corner of the room farthest from the bed and began vibrating the water from her wings untill they stopped drooping. That corner of the room was left nothing short of soaked. After wringing as much water out of her hair and cloths as she could, she left the room, grabbing her staff on the way out, and went back down stairs.

Ryan looked over at the two. Deciding that girl at the front was the manager, he walked up to her.
"I would like the highest room, which is farest from any stairwells, and or exits," he asked, "If there are any, I'll pay you extra for them."

Jan kept her face blank as she answered the man. "There is the turret on the north side. It's not in use." Because the owner is too cheep to fix the drafts and that leak in the roof. "It's cold and damp, without a fireplace. If that's what you want it's four coppers a night."
Since she wasn't going to tell her boss about renting out that turret, she could charge whatever she thought was appropiate for such a terrible room.

Ryan smiled. "Thank you, although something tells me that's not the normal charge."
He handed her the coppers, plus a few silvers and a couple golds, her tip. "Thank you again," he stated, and went back to looking through the papers on the side of the room, now looking for anything that said anything about the turrets of this hole.

Megumi couldn't stand it anymore. Looking out at the rain just frustraited her more. She stood up and wandered toward ryan. Her eyes skimmed the pages curriously.

Ryan had stopped looking at the pages the second he felt her coming toward him. He looked up at her with a death glare.
"Please get away from me," he asked politely. These stupid creatures don't deserve politeness.

Megumi took a step away from that glair. "I...I'm sorry...I was...just...currious." She swollowed the lump in her throat. She had spent a short 15 years (well, short for a fairy anyway) living among mortals, at the time mortal and stripped of her wings. They still scared her, sometimes. She foced her self to take a breath and continue. "What are you looking for?" she hesitated a moment, then added, "maybe i could help?"
ooc: her past is a long, painful, complicated story that i'm going to try and sum up later, but for now, you're just gonna get small glimpses of it when ever i think they will help in understanding her...

Jan shrugged and pocketed the money. As long as he didn't mention it the the owner, she didn't care what he thought of her. She went back to her table and began to polish the blade on her glaive.

Ryan almost snarled at the thing. "Get away from me now!" he demanded coldly, still there was no anger seeping from the words, just coldness.
His eyes staring at her, told her that he could and would kill her if she didn't.

Megumi jumped back. Those extreamly blue eyes looked more human then they should of; they spoke of the pain recieved from his cold gaze with sadness and fear. she droped her gaze. "yes sir..." she muttered, her voice barely a whisper. Silently she sat at a table across the room and lay her head down on it.
