PTS: no magic, thanks Cammiliya walked through busy summer streets, the orb, hidden, glowing blue against her chest to keep her cool. She had planned to leave today, but she'd never been here before and she wanted to take a look around. When her curiosity was settled, she found a quiet garden and tossed out her portal, then brought out the controller to activate it.
she was about to hit the button when she was grabbed from behind, flinging it out of her hands. Cammie tried to stay calm. She was tied and gagged and thrown into a wagon with some other people, and then the canvas covered them all. She was obviosly kidnapped, and, without the portal, she had no way to escape whatever was coming up.

Jan watched, partly hidden behind a wal,l as the group of men she was following grabbed and tied up a young woman. She waited until they had dragged her out into a wagon before going into the garden to look around. She found the strange orb and little box that the woman had dropped when she was taken.
She picked up the two things and started after the gang. She kept an easy hold on her glaive as she tracked the wagon beyond the walls of the city.

Cammie layed still for a moment, calming herself. Then she sat up, only to be shoved down by a strong hand. Cammie poked up with her knife, which they had conviniently forgotten to take, and the hand was quickly withdrawn. When the cavas was lifted up angrily, she quickly knocked out the gaurd, for that is who it was, and pulled him in. She smiled at all of the other captives who were gaping at her. Then the rest of the gang came around, and Cammie flew into a rage. She was starting to clean her knife, calmed down as quickly as she'd heated up, when one of the others screamed and pointed. Cammie flew around and brought up her knife an instant too late. She braced herself as her knife was knocked away and the sword came down...OOC: two choices, either Cam's injured and not killed by the blow, or you can save her life.

Well. At least one of them has a backbone still. Jan thought as she watched one of the captives take out one of the gang members. Coming to a quick decision, she came up behind the rest of the gang as they were surrounding the wagon.
With two quick swipes of her glaive, she cleared the way befor her. She then reversed the weapon and brought the iron-shod butt end down hard on the man standing over the woman from before.

Cammie wiped the perspiration from her forehead and smiled gratefully. She gestured for the captives to come out, and they all immediatly ran back in the direction of the town. Cammie laughed gently.

Jan bent over the unconcious body of one of the gang members. She snorted as she examined the motly possesions. Finally the half-elven girl stood and brushed her hands off on her pants.
She looked over at the woman.

Cammie was bent over the man she'd dragged into the wagon. He was coming around, but she could keep him down.
"Who are you?" She whispered feircly. She'd never in all her time here seen a simple gang work like this.
"I-I-" the man gasped for breath. Then, just before passing out again, he murmured, "pockets."
Cammie frowned, then searched his pockets. She found a peice of paper. 'Meloncar's orders: !ouyrofhtaedroayilimmacllik'
Cammie stared a the peice of paper, trying every type of launguage on in. But nothing made sense. Then any codes? ... nope. Backwards? Yes! She could read it backwards. Cammie gasped not wanting to belive what she was seeing.
'killcammiliyaordeathforyou!'
Kill Cammiliya!
'geuss I'm not leaving yet' she thought.
Cammie handed the note to the other woman.
"I'm Cammilliya Shaine," she told her, trying to be cheerful.

Jan took the note, reading it with a bit of a frown on her face.
"Who is Meloncar? And why does he want you dead?" she asked.

"I dunno," Cammie replied, "I've never done anything to anyone, and I don't think ..." Then Cammie frowned and looked at the name again.
"No..." she murmured. "It couldn't be..."

"It's from back home ... there was a person...erm...thinking hard about the same things as me. He liked to call himself Meloncar. But it couldn't have happened, not unless he made a time machine...could he have found my...plans? But why would he want to kil me? There was that one thing...I never went out with him...but kill me?" Cammie tried to use words that Jan would understand.

Jan frowned slightly thinking this over. "You should ask this person." She then smiled grimly. "Ask with the edge of a blade always works."

"Portal?" Jan frowned slighlty in confusion. Then she walked back to where she had hidden her bag, digging through it for a moment.
"Do you mean this thing?" She asked holding out the orb that she had found eariler.

Cammie smiled broadly. "Yes! That's it!" She cried. "But," she mused again, the grin fading and gone in moments, "I ought to have a look around here first...in case he IS here and doesn't have a way back, maybe he wants to kill me to get that.." Cammie took the portal and hid it in the folds of her cloak again. "I'm off," she smiled, "want to come?"
