Rainlight watched quietly. As a dragonrider, she had a duty to protect people as well, but that was to protect them from a menace no human could fight. On the other hand, she had lived holdless for a very long time and understood the need to take what you needed from others.
Kryl cheeped uncertainly and Rainlight put a hand up to soothe the green firelizard.

"Nobody's innocent," Red muttered at his back, "some people are just more innocent than others. Just because they are guilty...I don't want a murder, or several, on my concience...I'm just..not like that." Red turned, heading back to 'her spot'.
"Just because you can feel good about it..doesn't mean I can...I have nothing to console myself with..." she muttered, curling up again.

Rainlight followed the girl back into the tavern. Instead of returning to "her" bench, the elf walked over to red-head's bench. As she walked, Rainlight picked Kryl off her shoulder and held the little green against her chest.
"No one should ever feel good about killing other people. There would be something wrong with you if you did." she said softly.

"Yeah..." Red murmured, turning to smile at the other woman, "thanks.."

"It's not that I killed them that made me feel good, it was that I have protected other people from a terrible fate that could be caused by them." Darkwood added just before saying. "It's late, you should both get some sleep."

"Uh-huh," Red muttered before drifting again.
//There was a tree...what a lovely, lovely tree...what was it doing here? Here, in the middle of the desert... Red looked around, why was she in the middle of a desert...? Suddenly the earth started shaking. Red hovered several feet above it, watching it roll with dread. She glanced up just in time to see the tree falling...falling... "No," Red whispered as it hit the shaking ground. The ground then settled and changed. Now it was a dirt floor. Red sighed with relief, settling down easily. Then, a man ran in. Into...what was it? Red glanced up. Oh. It was a temple. Oh, no. No no no. She twirled in a tight circle, taking in everything, the Jewel hovering behind her with the dagger in front. She grabbed the Dagger and turned to face the man. He smirked at her, rising above her to twenty feet or so. She quickly followed him, recognising him as the Black Gaurdian. She raised her Dagger as he raised his own, and they both screamed out spells at the same time. He was instantly envoloped in a terrible brightness, as she was covered in darkness so thick she couldn't see her dagger, barely a foot away, glinting white. She screamed in pain for a moment before getting herself together. "Holy," Red murmured, and a faint light came around her, ridding her of the darkness and healing her slightly. Then, "HOLY!" a huge burst of light covered her, healing her almost completely, and shooting at him. Red gasped, she was almost drained. But the other man had neglected to rid himself of the light and heal, and she watched him twirling towards the ground.
//"Do you yeild?" Red called, following him down. But there was no answer. She repeated the question, holding her dagger to the ready position as she slowly gave herself back enough energy to take him on again. She followed him right down to the ground, landing lightly next to him. He was watching something with terror. Suddenly he turned to look at her, grabbing her arm and pulling her down. Red cried out, bringing her dagger around and holding it at his throat. His was now several feet away, discarded in the fall. It was black. "Have you ever...heard that y-you...see your ..life..pass before your eyes?" He asked. "Yes, I've heard that," Red replied, wondering where this was going. "Just...just something...my mother...she....I..." and then he let go of Red, starting to cry. Red got up and stepped back, watching him. He was weak. That's what everyone would say now. Thinking of his mother. "They made me, you know," the man said, "they dragged me from my family...took away everything..."
//Red let her dagger fall to her side, this man wasn't about to fight her. "My mother...she told me once...that I would be better off dead than...than to try and kill someone else....but...I had to...you were planning to attack us next week." Red nodded, gazing at him. He looked up at her strangly, asking, "if you kill me now...then you win, your people win, nothing will keep you from installing peace, nothing to keep you from killing off every branch of my family....tell me, I would kill you if you'd come and tried to take my jewel. Would I be better off dead? I only want to protect everyone...help my family..." Red glanced down at his hand. A ring. He couldn't be lying...but she would be an outcast if she were to leave him now.
//She bent down, raising her dagger to his throat again, her hand shaking terribly. "No," she said at last, putting down the Dagger and helping him up. "Nobody's better off dead. But don't attack me again, or I will have to..to...you know...kill you...." The man nodded, ran to his dagger, and turned back to her. He nelt on the ground and slid the knife across the floor towards her. She picked it up, then looked up in time to see him leaving. Red tossed the blade into the Jewel's sheild, and it melted instantly. Suddenly a cry rose, outside, and the high preist ran into the room. "Red! They are attacking us! You must go! Now! Through the portal! There are too many of them..!" The old man collapsed where he stood, an arrow in his back. Rad watched all of the lowed element gaurdians rush in front of her, forming a wall. "H-hey! But I...!"
//"Take the Jewel and go Red...I'm sorry," someone muttered. Red sighed, and turned, shocked to see the barrier down.* The assistant Preist nodded at her, and she grabbed the Jewel and ran through the portal.//
Red sat up, shuddering, it was light outside. Nothing had happened. Then she collapsed on the banch again, it'd been a restless night.
OOC: *Alterneet ending!! ...And INUYASHA was standing behind the jewel, preparing to destroy the jewel in order to obsorb it's power. Red screamed and ran then died!!!
~*The end ~_^*~

Red sighed, trying to relax. That had really, really hurt, being hit by that again...darkness hurt. A lot.
"Doesn't hurt...ha...'sall you know," she murmured under her breath.

Rainlight woke up a short time later, to the sound of both fire-lizards' creeling. Quickly she got up and walked over to the kitchen, trying to hush her little friends before they woke anyone else up. after getting a bowl of meat trimming from the cook, Rainlight went outside from the kitchen door to feed Larie and Kryl.

Red opened her eyes slightly. She could hear noises. Was it time to get up already...?
Groaning, she turned, placing her feet on the floor. Then she heaved herself up, wavered a bit, then went outside to see the sun already up. It must be around eight.
"Great, I slept it," she muttered, leaning against the wall and viewing the mess they'd made last night. Joys.

"Morning to everyone." Darkwood said, trying to be nice to everyone. Darkwood rolled up his map and put it back in his bag, now he pulled out, what seemed to be a bowl with a stright stem coming all the way from the bottom in the middle. Then he took out a silver dagger. He placed the silver dagger on the stem, then pulled another object from his bag. It was a bottle full of some sort of clear sparkly solution. He poured the liquid into the bowl until it touched the silver dagger. The bowl had four sybols on it, Darkwood understood them a north, south, east and west. He looked at the silvery dagger which was opinting to the sybol on the left, he then turned his body until it reached the symbol on the top.
After he had finished using the compass and had drained the liquid through a funnel and back into the bottle, he walked outside of the door and stared in the direction he had been pointing in before he had put the compass away, he could see mountines in the distance, a real distance.
Darkwood walked back into the inn a sat himself back down onto the bench he had slept on, thoughts arose in his mind what if the wiseman can't tell me what my medallion means? He pulled the medallion from around his neck and stared at it, just stared.

Rainlight came back in after sending her firelizards on a morning flightl. She returned the bowl to the kitchen with a thank you and went back into the main room.
