Largo kept up the smile, the news didn't seem to worry him too much. "We've been through worse situations." He said simply. "We'll just have to see what happens."

"Maybe worse, but this isn't one that a swordfight or a spell can get you out of, my love," Hanny said. "Knowing my uncle, he's probably just as strong and stubborn as always, but he'll like you. This is an entire country, Largo. If we don't handle this right, it could start a war."

"Well...It's been a while since I've been involved in politics, but hopefully I'll still have the talent for it." He said. "We'll make it through this." he assured her.

Hanny sighed. It was the best she could hope for at this point. "How long until we land?"

"I don't really know, a few hours probably." Largo said.
He bent down and kissed the top of her head again. "Don't worry".

"I'll try my best not to," she replied, returning a kiss. "I'm probably just being paranoid."

"It's good to be prepared for whatever might happen." He said after breaking the kiss.

"Won't this be something though? I haven't seen my old homeland in years. I wonder if it has changed as much as I have over all this time," she said with a smile. "We probably won't even recognize each other."

"Oh good." Largo said cuddling her a little. "I won't be the only one that feels like a stranger..."

Lani was drawing with Tarn in his room, and playing with stuffed animals. Though she was three and he was nearly fourteen, the boy spent every waking moment looking after her.
When Hanny had her second baby, it was clear that she couldn't raise the children on her own. Largo had responsabilities on the ship, so Tarn promised Hanny that he would watch over the golden-haired toddler.
"Where's the blue?" Lani asked, raising her bright green eyes from the paper. When Tarn reached for it to hand it to her, the wax cilinder stood up on it's end, rose into the air, and floated to Lani's open hand. She plucked it out of the air and kept drawing.
Tarn gave her a dissaproving look. "You know that your mommy doesn't like it when you do that and she isn't around. She wan't to make sure you don't get in trouble."
Lani didn't look up as she colored. "It's alright. I can do it better now."

After a few more minutes of closeness with Hanny, Largo spoke up again.
"We should be there soon, do you want to come up and watch?"

"Sure, but we should check on Tarn and Lani first," she said, leaving him relectantly.

Largo nodded. "Yeah, I guess we should." He said, smiling. He went to follow her.

Hanny found the door to Tarn's room and opened it. colored wax was thrown against the walls. Bright smudges of blue and green mixed with blobs of black and red. Hanny's smile vanished and Lani lowered her eyes.

Largo's eyes widened. "Did I miss something?" He looked around again. "When did we start decorating?" He said, his eyes finally falling on Lani.
