"Lani, what did you do?" Hanny said, her voice leveling dangerously. "The truth this time. Did you start making things happen again?"
Lani nodded, her curls bouncing around on her shoulders.
"When I specifically told you not to?" She nodded again. "I'm dissapointed in you, Lani. You know better. You have been good up until this point, so I'll let you off with just spending the an hour in your room to think about what you have done. It starts when you close your door."
Obediantly, she hopped up from the chair and slunk back to her own room. Her mother's sharp ears heard the snap of the door closing, and her gaze turned to Tarn.
"I'd-uh," he thought a second, "Better go find something to clean this up."

Largo sighed. He knew that she would have to learn to control her powers someday, and he also wondered what gifts his son would come to show in years to come.

Tarn excused himself and left the room. Hanny sat down in a chair that had not been pushed in.
"I knew she was going to be powerful even while I carried her," she said. "But unless I can control it if she's in trouble, someone could get hurt. Well enough if it's just crayons hitting the walls, but what if it were pens? Knives?"

"We're gonna have to teach her how to use them, we can't keep telling her not to use them. It's a gift she has. She'll be able to protect herself with it, instead of hurt herself with it." He gave her his view on the situation.

"If only it were something we could teach, love," Hanny said. "We need to hire a wizard to tutor her."

"Then we should do that as soon as we are able." He said. "Perhaps after this is sorted out?" He suggests.

"My family is well known in Candustine. I could probably hire someone willing to come on the ship with us for a couple of years, if only to escape the gallows." She smiled. "Last I checked, practicing magic in the open was a crime punishable by death, if you were caught. Most wizards don't like that law."

Largo rasied an eyebrow. "I'm not suprised..."
He wasn't too sure if he would trust any of them near his daughter... But he trusted Hanny.

"That's why my Uncle never used it except in his own room. In fact, I was never even allowed to say his name or that he even did magic in case of a false accusation." She bent over a little to look at the pictures. "When he got sick he started to lose his control. It was pretty bad by the end."

Largo nodded. "That's why she needs to learn to conrtol it. It could be bad if she gets hurt, or sick." Largo said.
He actually hated the idea of having someone he didn't know or trust near his daughter, but it was neccesary.
Back in his home, he had been able to do magic, but not anymore.

"That's assuming there are even any left," she said, smiling over the pictures. "Most wizards and sorceress leave Candustine and run off to Elnador or Lanovia. Ah well, it's worth the trip."

"Well, we can only keep a look out. Who knows how long we will be here." Largo said, while stealing a glance at the drawing over Hanny's shoulder.

Hanny smiled at some of the pictures. She saw Herself, and Largo, Lani and Tarn. She noticed right away one thing that was missing. She looked up at Largo to see if he noticed too.

Largo noticed that the newest member of the family was missing from the sheet.
"Looks like shes still getting used to the new addition." He commented, wondering if she felt left out because of the baby.

"I think she feels put out," said Hanny. "Andrew takes up my time, and the Pride takes up yours. We need to pull this back together before she starts to hate us. This is far from a good sign."
She flipped through a few other pictures, some by her, others by Tarn. Tarn was getting to be quite the artist. Hanny had a set of coal pencils hidden away for his next birthday.
"What do we do?"
